Brookville Lake is situated in the picturesque Whitewater River Valley with traces of prehistorical Indian mounds known for their archaeological significance. Something for everyone. Brookville has a 5,260 acre lake that is great for fishing complete with 10 ramps around the lake and four marinas. There are picnic and camping areas, beaches, and cabins for rent.
A beautiful assortment of flowers attract butterflies to Hayes Arboretum's Butterfly Garden. The butterfly garden is not only stunning to observe, but it makes a meaningful impact by creating habitat for butterflies in all of their life stages. Bring your cameras and relax in this peaceful oasis.
Clear Creek Park has plenty of amenities at your disposal; a dream basketball court, sensory playground, sensory garden, pickleball courts, picnic areas, and a baseball diamond.
Established in 1885, this park has a springfed lake, disc golf, skate-park, playground, tennis courts, trails, GaGa pit and music garden. Roosevelt Hill is a great location for kite flying. There are many locations throughout the park for an enjoyable picnic.
The features found on this 466 acre property include 3% of Indiana's old growth forest, acres of reforested woods, several miles of hiking trails and running paths, Adena and Hopewell Indian mounds, ponds, fields, wetlands, and mountain biking trails. Together there are 16 miles of trails, 7.5 miles of which are Mountain Bike Trails.
This new U-Pick Flower & Vegetable Farm has been family owned since 1944! Their U-Pick flower beds equate to 6 rows of flowers with varieties including zinnias, cosmos, yarrow, snapdragons, gladiolus and much more. A sunflower and pumpkin patch also inhabit the farm.
Located just outside of Wayne County, this family owned farm offers an assortment of fun. From fresh produce, flowers and handmade gifts to a nature play area, petting zoo and nature path. $5 admission, you-cut flowers & pumpkin patch are additional costs.
Dedicated in 1937, the E.G. Hill memorial Rose Garden honors Richmond's famed Rosarian, Gurney Hill. The All American Garden boasts hundreds of colorful roses, annuals, perennials, and a lacy Victorian gazebo and has been awarded the A.A.R.S. Display Garden Destination. The German Friendship Garden is in honor of our friendship with Zweibrucken, Germany.
