Children can get up close and personal with nature at Hayes Arboretum's Nature Playscape! Unlike traditional playgrounds, the nature playscape uses natural materials to provide a creative and interactive play experience.
Cycling and Fitness Warehouse, on S. 3rd in Richmond, across from the Cardinal Greenway, rents free bikes. They also rent helmets and locks. Bikes are available on a 1st come 1st served basis.

The terrain is gentle, for hikers, joggers, cyclists, skaters, and outdoor enthusiasts. No Bike, No Problem . . . Cycling & Fitness Warehouse offers FREE bike rental and is located one block south of the Greenway trailhead.

With over 3 miles of trails traversing 130 acres, Cope Environmental Center has something for everyone. Hike through Indiana prairies and hardwood forest, explore wetlands and ponds. Discover birds, wildflowers, insects, and reptiles or enjoy a quiet sit on the benches scattered throughout the nature areas.
The Cope family purchased the land in the 1940s. They were motivated by a sense of environmental stewardship and a passion for renewable energy. During the hike, you'll learn about the evolution of the land and their legacy.
Over the years a total of 29 covered bridges were built in Preble County, Ohio. Today, seven covered bridges remain including the oldest bridge in the state of Ohio.
Established in 1883, Dougherty Orchards is the oldest family owned and operated orchard in the state of Indiana. Established by an act of Congress in 1806, the Old National Road made its way westward from Maryland in 1811 to western Illinois, where it was completed in 1832.
This course sits in the biggest park in Richmond, IN. It plays through the some of Indiana's old growth forest, and uses all of the terrain features of the park. This 18 basket course is challenging, yet not so hard that it scares new players away.

Also enjoy a two mile golf cart path for walking, running and skating.
Established in 1885, this park has a springfed lake, disc golf, skate-park, playground, tennis courts, trails, GaGa pit and music garden. Roosevelt Hill is a great location for kite flying. There are many locations throughout the park for an enjoyable picnic.
