Before the days of refrigeration, families had to make sure they had enough food stored to last through the cold months.Salting, pickling, smoking and drying helped families of the past preserve food they worked so hard to grow and cultivate throughout the spring, summer and fall. Families and groups will explore preservation techniques, then choose spices to produce a pickled jar to take home with them – just in time for Thanksgiving!Tickets are $8/adults, $6/seniors, $4/youth, 25% discount for members. Registration required by Nov. 16.
