The Wilbur Wright Hagerstown Fly-In will welcome fans for the 12th time Tuesday, July 20 at the Hagerstown Airport. The Hagerstown airport, a favorite among vintage airplane pilots for its gentle landing surface and 4,000+ foot grass runway, will open at 2 p.m. Skilled pilots will begin arriving from many states throughout the afternoon. At 6 p.m., a special event showcasing Pre-World War II planes will begin. Rides in an open cockpit bi-plane will be available (approx. $80 per person). Pilots are always eager to answer questions about their vintage aircraft, some built more than 100 years ago. Tasty festival food will be available. Hours: 2 p.m. - dusk
