This is our annual fundraising event in support of Birth-to-Five’s Parents As Teachers and Healthy Families programs. The event is held at the Starr Gennett Building in Richmond.Admission cost of $65.00 which includes: Event Tickets include: Dinner, Dessert, Performances by: Rog & Amy Greenawalt - National Champion Ballroom Dancers, Dance Competition with our local Stars, and open dancing. After three years of waiting, Richmond Symphony Orchestra continues through the decades and presents its next highly anticipated Signature Event: Show Me the ‘90s! This "worth the wait" event will be held at the Tom Raper Center on April 30, 2022. The RSO will perform hit movie themes, including Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Forrest Gump and Titanic. The performance is guaranteed to be a far out experience.Guests can also expect several Jurassic-size photo opportunities, a visit to Central Perk and a reunion with Andy’s toys.
All but one of the works on this concert will be new to the audience and the program includes a World Premiere! Yumi Kurosawa is an award-winning koto star from a young age, one of today's most exciting soloists on Japan's national instrument. Her solo repertoire includes classical Japanese compositions, as well as her own innovative and enchanting original works. She has played on such stages as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Apollo Theater, and the Blue Note. Kurosawa has been a principal soloist with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Swan in the UK, and the Houston Grand Opera.
